- Abstract
The article presents a case study which focuses on the simulation of Spinning Enhanced Visible and Infrared Imager (SEVIRI) infrared channels from the eruption of Eyjafjallajökull Volcano in Iceland in April to May 2010. The study used Lagrangian particle dispersion model FLEXPART in stimulating volcanic ash dispersion. The study shows that the placement of ash cloud relative to ice and water clouds has an impact to the ash signal that was seen by the satellite.
