- Abstract
The article presents a study which determines the function of inflammation in perpetuation, maintenance and initiation of early atrial fibrillation (AF). Findings of the study indicate that there is a clear connection between AF recurrence and inflammatory markers and patients with persistent AF had also a higher C-reactive protein (CRP) levels. However, it notes that it is still unclear on how to manage the patients with the recurrence after AF ablation. It also reveals that reablation strategy had a smaller rate of clinical reoccurences, but it had a higher number of ablation procedures.
