- Authors
Craypo, Charles
- Abstract
The article discusses impact of corporate strategies in the U.S. on workers and communities. It states that deregulation of management and profit maximization strategies of U.S. corporations give priority to production cost minimization, operating mobility and structural mergers. According to it, companies abandon long-term investments in workforce, resulting in decline in wages, lack of health benefits and income inequality. It argues that communities have to compete to attract investment.
