- Abstract
The following paper introduces a videographic research design, which explores the popular augmented reality (AR) mobile game Pokémon GO. Two problems distinguish this mediatized phenomenon: 1) Different forms of interaction with the game and everyday reality. 2) The cursory game practices. By taking on a phenomenological and dramatological perspective, the complexity of these two methodical main problems can be identified. These problems will be solved by using a mobile GoPro Camera and analysing the hereby generated video data material with the help of Goffman's (sequence analytical) Frame-Analysis (1977). As a result, the aspect of the mediatized space of everyday life and its interactive and performative fabrication can be added to the concept of synthetic situation (Knorr- Cetina 2009).
