- Title
Farley Grubb's Noisy Evasions on Colonial Money: A Rejoinder.
- Authors
MICHENER, RONALD W.; WRIGHT, ROBERT E.
- Abstract
The article discusses the argument between Ronald W. Michener, Robert E. Wright and Farley Grubb on the management of money during the years of colonial America. Grubb mentions that the phrase 6 shillings Pennsylvania money refers to bills of credit, although the phrase is redefined as value of six shillings in exchange of bills of credit and commodities including gold, silver and tobacco. This issue addresses a historical dispute on early paper money transactions in the U.S. during the colonial period.
