- Title
Targeting of the non-mutated tumor antigen HER2/neu to mature dendritic cells induces an integrated immune response that protects against breast cancer in mice.
- Abstract
The article focuses on a study that uses the mouse breast cancer model to investigate the immunogenicity of a human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER2) protein vaccine aimed at antigen uptake receptor DEC205 (DEC) and dendritic cells (DCs). Immunization of mice belonging to various genetic backgrounds were conducted with DEC-HER2 in combination with DC maturation stimuli. This strategy of immunization showed better prospects for the development of vaccines for breast cancer.
