- Title
Introduction: Toward a Close-Up on Teza.
- Authors
Thomas, Greg
- Abstract
The article focuses on the Ethiopian drama film "Teza" directed by Haile Gerima. It offers a director's note on the film from Gerima as well as a creative study guide for viewers and spectators. It explores the amount of academic criticism on Gerima's filmography, regardless of its critical political orientation. Gerima's classical work is said to present a paradigmatic antidote to Hollywood anexation or Western cinematic imperialism.
