- Abstract
This article results from a research on the Berlin Olympics and on their image in the German press, based on concepts from the areas of Political Marketing, Media and Discourse Analysis. Through the empirical method of textual analysis, the construction of the Nazi discourse was analyzed in selected articles in the newspapers Völkischer Beobachter, Der Angriff and Berliner Tageblatt, published in 1936, in order to identify the strategies used to create a false image of the real life conditions under a totalitarian regime and its expansionist goals. The research results represent a contribution to the conceptual advance in the area of Government Political Marketing associated with the Media and to a reflection on the contemporary phenomena in the world political scene.
