- Authors
Walker, Anders
- Abstract
The article presents information on the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Brown v. Board of Education, in which the Court ruled that the state laws establishing separate public school for black and white students is unconstitutional. It reflects how the decision has led to creation of regulations on marriage, adoption, and illegitimacy, all aimed at preserving segregation through legislative means. It discusses that civil rights have proved more culturally contingent as compare to scholars.
