- Abstract
The article presents several news in the field of biotechnology. Biotech companies are failing to post information about clinical trials on its dedicated web site. Also, Syngenta Corp. has decided to transfer all of its plant science R&D from Jealott's Hill in Berkshire, Great Britain, to Research Triangle Park in North Carolina. In Japan, a committee of the Council for Science and Technology Policy voted in favor of a proposal that would allow therapeutic cloning. Also, the European Commission has committed 10.4 million euros for a four-year project that will analyze the role of the "degradome"--a collective term for all of the body's proteases together with their substrates and inhibitors--in Cancer.
