- Abstract
A commentary in the European Heart Journal discusses the benefits of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) over percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in the treatment of left main coronary artery disease. The commentary highlights a large observational study that supports previous randomized control trials (RCTs) showing that CABG is the superior therapeutic option. The study found that CABG achieved better results than PCI in terms of myocardial infarction and revascularization. The authors appreciate the work of clinical registries, such as the Swederegistry, in providing valuable data for evidence-based recommendations.
