- Abstract
The article discusses the importance of teacher cognition in writing instruction, specifically in the context of English as a foreign language (EFL) writing. The authors, Huan Zhao and Lawrence Jun Zhang, have coauthored a volume titled "Teaching Writing in English as a Foreign Language: Teachers’ Cognition Formation and Reformation," which explores the development and evolution of EFL writing teacher cognition. The volume consists of seven chapters that provide an overview of relevant theories, empirical studies, and findings from a mixed-methods research study conducted in China.
