- Abstract
The article presents a study on the fossil material of Proamphibos kashmiricus discovered from the Plio-Pleistocene of the Pinjor Formation at the Upper Siwaliks in Pakistan. The researchers observed the material that was discovered in 1971, which is made up of partial skull. They compared the specimen with the most common Siwalik genera including a rare specimen of Bucapra, Bubalus, Bison and Hemibos. They also identified the main characteristics of the fossil skull including the absence of horn cores, the large bullae and the wide posterior tuberosities of the basioccipital.
