The article presents a study on the impact of extreme weather conditions on the colonies of Australian Swiflets or Aerodramus terraereginae in Chillagoe and Mackay, Queensland. It mentions the effect of floods and cyclones on their breeding practices leading them to utilize various caves for nesting. It also notes that severe weather events can induce extinction of their colonies.
