- Abstract
The article discusses the American Nurses Association's (ANA) position statement on the nurses' role in healthcare and in making informed choices on do-not-resuscitate (DNR) orders as of 2021. Topics covered include the Nurses' Code of Ethics sections that support the statement, terms confusion on DNR, evidence on resuscitation, and considerations of patients in surgery. Also noted is the ANA support of the right of patients to self-determination.
