- Abstract
The article discusses a study which investigated the synthesis of polyurethanes from rubber seed oil (RSO), as well as their thermal and mechanical properties. The urethane-based prepolymer with isocyanate-terminated end groups was synthesized using the RSO monoglyceride, xylene and hexamethylene diisocyanate. The diisocyanate type and their molar ratios to the RSO monoglyceride affected the properties of the polyurethanes.
