- Abstract
This paper provides a critical and evolutionary analysis of the right to territory of indigenous peoples. We show that, since their origin, the indigenous peoples have defended a conception of territory distinct from the idea of property. We argue that the inseparable relationship that has been established between territory and the geographical space occupied corresponds to a hegemonic vision of human rights and, in contrast, we propose the recognition of a relational approach to this right.
