The article looks at the history of pregnancy and reproductive health. One of the earliest surviving books on pregnancy and childbirth is from the Greek physician Soranus (AD 98–117), Aldous Huxley (1931) in Brave New World created a world where technology overcame the problems of childbirth by artificially creating life. Myths around menstruation, pregnancy and childbirth persist throughout history; today, there continue to be religious beliefs, and traditions within all cultures.
