- Abstract
The article focuses on a research on the influence of hydrogen on the thermoelastic properties of the rock-forming minerals in the upper mantle of the Earth. Topics discussed include using a multi-anvil pressure apparatus to synthesis of hydrous olivine and hydrous enstatite; determining the thermoelastic properties of hydrous olivine and hydrous enstatite from X-ray diffraction experiments; and decrease bulk modulus, increase in thermal expansivity and pressure derivative of bulk modulus.
