- Title
Investigation on Shot-Cast Mixes for Blast Furnace Relining.
- Authors
Gronebaum, R.-H.; Pischke, J.
- Abstract
The article presents a study on the suitability of 20 different shot-cast mixes used for blast furnaces relining. The study utilized refractoriness under load, apparent porosity, and alkali resistance to determine the most suitable shot-cast mix. Findings of the study reveal that best results are obtained from masses which have high strength in the initial state. Moreover, it cites that the low cement mix based on high grade chamotte shows the best chemical and physical properties.
