- Abstract
The article discusses the role of the U.S. National Labor Relations Act (Wagner Act) as a model for Canada's labour law as of April 2013, focusing on the collective rights of employees, labour unions in Canada, and the Canada's Employee Free Choice Act. The reported failures of the Wagner Act model of labour relations are addressed, along with American labor union leader Samuel Gompers, collective bargaining rights, and the New Deal economic reforms in the U.S.
