- Abstract
The article presents a conference paper by John Collins of Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, delivered at the annual meeting of the American Political Science Association in New York on September 1981, in which he discussed the topic "Locke and Burke on Representative Government." The value of political theory to the study of representation is exhibited through an analysis of the arguments of John Locke and Edmund Burke in this paper.
