- Abstract
Resveratrol (Res) is a natural phytoalexin synthesized in response to injury or fungal attack. It possesses anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer and anti-platelet activities. The reaction of Res with peroxynitrite (ONOO) was investigated by UV-Vis spectroscopy and the reaction mechanism was proposed. Effects of temperature, pH and CO2 on the reaction of Res with porexynitrite were studied. The results showed that lower temperature and higher pH benefit the reaction, which can also take place in presence of CO2 with different mechanism from that without CO2.
