Results : four selective categories were established that express the reality of the territory and provide an understanding of the phenomenon. Namely: History of an Oblivion; Malaria: Tolerated Reality in the PCDN; Malaria Health Care: between Lights and Shadows, and Tumaco Special, Industrial and Biodiverse District: A better future? Conclusion : Malaria is still a "social reality" in the daily life of the PCDN communities.
