- Abstract
The article focuses on the establishment of EngineerAid which aims to create a direct and reliable connection via the Internet to effectively deliver engineering knowledge to less developed countries. Unlike the traditional methods used by charities to deliver aid, EngineerAid provide an easily accessible system for the transfer of technical knowledge. In its initial stages, EngineerAid's pilot programme was funded by the Scottish Institute for Enterprise and Napier University. Its membership then grew from 20 to over 300 accredited engineers.
