- Abstract
Comment Schiff base contains imine nitrogen atoms, and pair electrons are present on these imine nitrogen atoms, which easily coordinate with different metal ions, generating coordination compounds. With the existence of a plurality of nitrogen atoms, Schiff base compounds containing 2,6-pyridinediimide units coordinate with metal ions more easily.
