- Abstract
The Online Universities that offer educational programs designed with a competency approach, contemplate an important challenge that is the achievement of the learning proposed in the design of each course and in the development of the competences established in the instructional design. The approach of this study was qualitative, and the case study was used as the main methodology supported with surveys, also the contents of the messages in the e-portfolio were analyzed. The objective was to research about the usefulness of the rubrics in which the online evaluation criteria of the courses were defined; as an important support for the students, as well as their relation with the teacher's feedback, the self-evaluation of the student through the rubric and summative evaluation from the experiences in the Virtual University System of the University of Guadalajara, Mexico, in order to avoid the failure detected in the subject of Project I.
