- Title
State chemical reform initiatives: Advocates press for change.
- Authors
Bergeson, Lynn L.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the lack of federal legislative reform on the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). It states that there is a need to reform the TSCA and it should be equal with the technological advances in chemicals. It mentions that state governments have started to adopt and formulate laws that could address chemical risk. It argues that for a reform to be successful there is a need for a collaboration between chemical industry, federal government and environmental groups.
