- Abstract
The article presents a study to estimate the degree-days needed for each stage of the weevil development and to develop a degree-days-based prediction model for lucerne weevil incidence in the central India. A field experiment was conducted for three consecutive rabi seasons at the Central Research Farm, Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Jhansi, India. In the experiment it was found that the weevil incidence in lucerne crop starts during the last week of December in the field.
