- Abstract
This article discusses the occurrence of acute acalculous cholecystitis (AAC) in patients with dengue fever. Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne disease that is a significant public health threat globally. The study reviewed 12 cases of dengue-associated AAC in Singapore from 2006 to 2015. The patients presented with symptoms such as right hypochondrial pain, fever, and abnormal liver tests. The study found that none of the patients required surgery or invasive procedures, and all were discharged without complications. The article highlights the need for further research on this atypical manifestation of dengue fever.
