- Abstract
The presence of the Hispanic legacy is a substantial element inside the multiple influences that have formed our identity in all spheres. To be Spanish colony during four centuries involved the translation of constructive traditions that marked the conception of the cities and the architecture of Cuba. The Spanish trace in Cuba during the colonial period result evident and known unanimously. However is less studied this influence in the period of the Republic, this one was materialized not only by the continuity of traditions and customs but also by a numerous immigration that took place from Spain to Cuba in these years, in particular during the first decades of the XX century, that had repercussions in the architectonical ambit.
