Abstract
Netherlands-based Teijin Twaron BV expanded its plant for p-aramid fiber Twaron by 50% in 2003. Based on a standard product mix, 18,500 tons per year of production capacity will be available. In view of the streamlined product mix the maximum output will be limited to approximately 16,000 tons. The expansion projects in the plant was designed and built by a consortium of Teijin Twaron and Akzo Nobel Engineering, Tebodin Consultants and Engineers and Stork Industry Services.
