Title
Europe's synchrotron sharpens up its X-rays.
Abstract
The article states that approval has been given for the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) to begin an upgrade of its facility in Grenoble, France that will cost the equivalent of 224 million U.S. dollars. This funding will go toward the construction of beamlines that will deliver x-rays that are only tens of nanometres in diameter. These beams will be used in the imaging of materials and chemical reactions.
