Abstract
The article reports on the prize received by Osamu Shimomura from the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Massachusetts and Martin Chalfie of Columbia University in New York and Roger Tsien at the University of California in San Diego, California. The 2008 Nobel Prize in Chemistry is given to the three institutions due to their respective experimentation showing that green fluorescent protein (GFP) makes transgenic pigs glow eerily.
