- Title
GOD SO LOVES THE SOUL: INTELLECTIONS OF IMMORTALITY IN DANTE.
- Authors
Bemrose, Stephen
- Abstract
The article critiques the book "Convivio" and the epic poem "Commedia" by Italian writer Dante Alighieri. Particular attention is given to references of the afterlife and the immortality of the human soul within each work, with the author focusing on the relationship between the soul and its creator. He notes that Dante denounced those who denied the afterlife within "Convivio," and Christian symbolism within the "Purgatorio" section of "Commedia."
