- Abstract
The orbit radii of the hydrogen atom were calculated using the values of the van der Waals and two covalent radii and the well-known quadratic dependence of the orbit radii on a series of whole numbers (Bohr equation). Using the equation for the orbital velocity of the dynamics of orbital motion, the orbital velocities and emission frequencies for 19 hydrogen atom orbits were determined with the calculated values of the radii. It was shown that for orbits characterized by whole numbers n, equal to 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, and 19, the calculated frequencies coincide with the experimental (handbook) values of the Layman, Balmer, Paschen, Brackett, Pfund, and Humphrey series frequencies. A graph displaying the frequencies of all series, including x-ray, was plotted with the calculated values of the radii and the experimental frequency values. An equation for calculating the radiation frequencies as a function of the orbit radius of the hydrogen atom was proposed and substantiated.
