- Abstract
The article discusses the basic treatment of scientific facts by the U.S. legal system. The similarity of proving scientific facts and proving foreign law is suggested. The procedural mechanisms, developed by conflicts-of-law experts to handle proof of foreign law, can be used in the scientific evidence context, according to the author. The article cites the case Daubert v. Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals show Margaret Berger's contribution to scientific evidence.
