- Abstract
In cases of traumatic posterior urethral disruption, there is nearly always an association with significant bony pelvic injury, often detected on the initial trauma CT scan, or suspected clinically when providers encounter difficulty with urethral catheter insertion during emergency stabilization attempts [[1]]. Left superior and inferior pubic ramus fractures are also present in this patient who sustained substantial blunt pelvic trauma Declarations Conflict of interest The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest. The majority of urethral injuries are caused by blunt or penetrating pelvic trauma, and less commonly, by iatrogenic injury.
