- Abstract
Alkali-activated mineral powder was used as cementitious material to prepare foamed concrete. The compatibility of alkali activator sodium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide-water glass, sodium hydroxide-water glass-sodium citrate with foaming agent, and their effects on the workability, mechanical properties and microstructure of foamed concrete were studied, and the mechanism of its performance influence was revealed. The results show that the alkali activator does not affect the foaming effect of the foaming agent, and the two have good compatibility. Using sodium hydroxide-water glass-sodium citrate as activator, water glass modulus is 1.2, water glass content is 15%, sodium citrate content is 0.5%, foam concrete flow value is about 190 mm, compressive strength is more than 1.5MPa, setting time is more than 3h, construction performance is good. XRD and SEM analysis showed that the hydration products formed a fluffy grid structure after the excitation of mineral powder. When mixed with water glass, the formed network structure was dense, and the foam pores were formed separately and mostly spherical.
