Studio Class-New Directions TEAM TEACHING FOR STUDIO CLASS SUCCESS.
- Authors
Deeter, Alissa Walters; Peavler, Robert
- Abstract
The article discusses the advantages of joint studio class in providing singing instruction to students. It is evident that studio class provides excellent opportunities for growth among students and teachers. Students' experience of attending one studio to another provides them different teaching methodologies and perspectives that can lend reinforcement to some matters that are often neglected due to familiarity. Joint studio class provides students with a wider variety of technical ideas and teaching styles when they observe and support the progress of fellow singers outside their own studios. The system also reflects the interest of inclusion and teamwork while students can learn to perform in a much larger audience and receive more abundant feedback.
