- Abstract
The article presents information about a traveling exhibition that was organized by CIGNA Corp. The exhibit called "Ships and the Sea," which includes 48 pieces of maritime art from the period of 1805 to 1981, is part of CIGNA's master collection of paintings and artifacts. The exhibit was loaned to Yasuda Fire and Marine Insurance Co. in Japan during the celebration of Yasuda's 100th anniversary. The painting "Champlain" by Samuel Walters shows the international trade ship on a voyage between China and Philadelphia. CIGNA president Benjamin Rush and chief curator Melissa Hough comment on the collection.
