- Abstract
The article states that the amount of bad checks written in the United States during 1988 was $154 billion, according to the American Bankers Association, and mentions the use of third-party collection services. Third-party collectors work fast to recover debt, prevent the redeposit of rejected checks, establish databases, and give managers more time to focus on other aspects of the business. The National Revenue Corporation claims that their collection service can help firms save up to 50 percent on collection costs.
