- Abstract
The article presents a study that aims to understand the experience of physical activity in the lives of adolescent mothers in Canada. Its objectives include identifying the attitudes and interests of the women, the essence of the school-based physical activity program may bring to these women, and develop an interpretation of what activity program might look like for them. Results of the study show that teachers play a significant role in honing these women because they are capable of building humane, equitable and fluid relationships with the students essential for their development. It is also emphasized that physical education program must be meaningful and relevant for students from which teachers would be able to encourage them to develop identities they need.
