- Title
When Courts Intervene: Halting the Transfer of F-35 Parts to Israel.
- Authors
Kampmark, Binoy
- Abstract
The article discusses legal challenges and court interventions regarding the Israel-Gaza war. South Africa has accused Israel of genocide and the International Court of Justice (ICJ) has issued an interim order warning Israel to prevent genocidal acts and ease restrictions on humanitarian aid. In the United States, a court case was filed to restrain the Biden administration from aiding Israel's war efforts. A Dutch appeals court has also intervened, ordering the Netherlands to cease the export of F-35 parts to Israel due to the risk of serious violations of international humanitarian law. The Dutch government is appealing the ruling.
