National registration: A maturing professional accountability for occupational therapy.
- Authors
Russell, Mary
- Abstract
The author reflects on the entry of the occupational therapy profession into the National Regulation and Accreditation Scheme in Australia. He states that this is an acknowledgement that the public is served by regulating occupational therapists and realises the efforts of many in the profession who worked for regulation. According to the author, reflection and debate will also be needed if occupational therapy is to realise new levels of accountability and ongoing improvements to practice
