- Title
Molecular characterization of an immunoinhibitory receptor Tim-3 in bovine leukemia virus-infected cattle.
- Authors
Okagawa, Tomohiro
- Abstract
The article focuses on a study regarding the complementary DNAs (cDNAs) encoding for bovine T cell immunoglobulin domain and mucin domain-3 (Tim-3) and its ligand, galectin-9. The study also analyzed the expressions and roles of Tim-3 and Gal-9 on immune reactivation in bovine leukemia virus (BLV)- infected cattle. Furthermore, the result showed that Tim-3 plays a role in the suppression of T cell function during BLV infection.
