- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the role of pyroglutamylated arginine-phenylalanine-amine peptide (QRFP) neuropeptide in the regulation of wakefulness (W) and sleep in mice. The study conducted a comprehensive phenotypic analysis of W and sleep in QRFP-treated mice. Study reveals that QRFP's intracerebroventricular (icv) administration in C57BL/6J mice decreases rapid eye movement (REM) and non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep but increases W amount.
