- Title
Development of diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound contrast agent microbubbles mediated cisplatin delivery in cancer therapy.
- Authors
Sasaki, Noboru
- Abstract
The article presents a study on the integration of diagnostic ultrasound (US) with microbubbles (MBs) as a tool for drug and gene delivery for cancer treatment. It says that the characteristics of cisplatin delivery through diagnostic US were examined by the exposure of canine thyroid cancer cells. It used mouse models to investigate the potential of intratumor injection of cistplatin and MBs. Results show the potential for the drug delivery regime for local cancer therapy.
