- Abstract
The article discusses the harmful effects of the growing commercial whale watching in Great Britain. It notes that as the industry has grown, the risk for these animals also increases as the number of vessels used for viewing also grow and become faster and more powerful. There have been incidents of collisions between these boats and cetaceans causing injuries or death to the animals. Several safety measures to avoid these incidents are also presented.
