In our professional practice in the field of adoption, we have repeatedly encountered "relationships that have not prospered" within the framework of families thus constituted. This entails psychic consequences in children and adolescents that give us a theoretical-clinical concern about the ways of professional approach. This article presents a case that will be articulated with Donald Winnicott's theory, to promote some psychological reflections on professional practice.
